Riyadh: Robinsons, the luxury fashion retail store established in 1858, has opened its very first store in Saudi Arabia, at the prestigious Kingdom Mall in Riyadh, one of the city’s largest malls. The store opened with an exclusive event, offering a range of immersive experiences to consumers, from fashion and beauty to kids and accessories. This is the second Robinsons store to open in the region, following the immensely successful launch of Robinsons at Dubai Festival City Mall in the UAE last year.

The grand opening event provided an exclusive reveal of the store and its offerings to the city’s most prestigious guests. Hosted by prominent TV host, Mahira Abdel Aziz, guests enjoyed an exclusive fashion show with the season’s latest collections, as well as a live wall painting presented by popular artist, Mr. Nugamshi. Guests also enjoyed a host of beauty and fashion activities and master classes, including exclusive styling sessions, sneaker customization and personalized calligraphy on accessories. The activities will continue in-store until 13th October for customers, along with a raffle draw taking place on 12th October for one lucky winner to win a Fiat car.

Robinsons is the ultimate fashion destination and has elevated the region’s shopping scene by providing unique and innovative brands and services to customers. From its range of exclusive brands, to exceptional services, customers can enjoy an unparalleled shopping experience. The brand will also bring one-of-a-kind collections and collaborations to shoppers, including stylish fashion pop-ups in store with locally relevant themes and exclusive pieces.

Al-Futtaim, one of the most progressive regional business houses headquartered in Dubai, brought the leading fashion department store Robinsons to the Middle East through a joint venture agreement with luxury powerhouse, Chalhoub Group. Al-Futtaim first acquired the rights to operate the Robinsons department stores in 2008, bringing a wealth of leadership and experience to transform the brand into one of the best performing department stores in Southeast Asia.

“At Al-Futtaim, we are committed to providing quality products and services that enrich people’s lives each and every day, and we are very pleased to be expanding the Robinsons footprint in the Middle East,” said Paul Delaoutre, President of Retail at Al-Futtaim. “Robinsons offers an enhanced shopping experience, an oasis of inspiration, that brings a large variety of carefully selected international and regional labels to a very discerning audience. It is a shopping experience like no other.”

Robinsons promises to bring an elevated shopping experience to consumers in Saudi Arabia.

About Robinsons Department Store

Founded in 1858 by John Spicer and Philip Robinson, Robinsons Department Store is one of the most iconic retail landmarks in Singapore. Operated by the Dubai, UAE-based Al-Futtaim since 2008, Robinsons has since become one of the best performing department stores in southeast Asia.

In March 2017, the Al Futtaim Retail Group celebrated the opening of Robinsons Department Store in Dubai Festival City Mall. At 200,000 sq ft, it is the largest department store in the UAE; it is also one of the country’s most unique retail establishments, thanks in part to a stunning green wall of living plants that was created by designer Patrick Blanc as a nod to Robinsons’ Singaporean heritage.

Robinsons has quickly made a name for itself among discerning shoppers, thanks to three floors of covetable offerings. Beauty lovers flock to the Ground floor, which stocks a stunning array of more than 85 skincare, makeup and fragrance brands. Home to many familiar labels such as Alexander Wang and Kate Spade, Robinsons also carries more than 90 exclusive fashion brands, including AAPE and Louis Quatorze. The second floor also offers the UK’s most loved and trusted brand, John Lewis, which can only be found in Robinsons.

A true lifestyle destination, Robinsons has recently opened the Profile Aveda Lifestyle Salon on the First floor, and proudly features three tempting F&B outlets: Big Fernand, Wild & The Moon, and Origami. From fashion and home to wellbeing and dining (and much more in between), Robinsons Department Store in Festival City Mall offers an immersive experience that sets the bar for retail in the Middle East.
