Muscat: The main water pumping station at the Sohar Industrial Port, which connects to North Al Batinah and Al Buraimi governorates, is witnessing an electrical failure.
According to the Public Authority for Water (DIAM), “The emergency plan was activated to deal with the situation by activating the interconnection between the desalination plants in Barka and Sohar and operating well fields so that these measures will ensure the continuity of water supply during repairs within the next 48 hours.”
“We value your cooperation in rationalizing water consumption during the repair period,” the statement added.
