Cairo: The Micro, Small and Medium Enterprise Development Agency (MSMEDA) is in talks with the World Bank over getting new financing tranches worth up to $300 million.

Investment and international cooperation minister Sahar Nasr is presiding over these negotiations, which have reached an advanced stage, local newspaper Youm7 reported, citing MSMEDA director Nevine Gamea.

The Washington-based lender is requesting fresh products to finance them, such as financial leasing, she indicated.

Accordingly, the MSMEDA seeks to boost new product financing, including financial leasing, whose loans may reach EGP 75 million, Gamea pointed out.
