The Abu Dhabi Department of Economic Development has directed the owners of the economic establishments operating in the country to conduct PCR test on their workers every 14 days.

According to a post on the official Instagram account of Abu Dhabi Department of Economic Development, the establishment must bear the fees of the test.

The workers who have received the Covid-19 vaccine available in the UAE for free are exempted from these tests every 14 days.

These directions are in line with the Covid-19 preventive measure issued by relative authorities in Abu Dhabi, and aim to create a safe and healthy environment while limiting the effects of the pandemic.

As per the circular issued to the entities the establishments include: Restaurants and cafes, supermarkets, grocers, bakeries, butchers, vegetables and fruit retailers, malls, and commercial centres.
