JEDDAH: Saudi Arabia’s General Authority for Audiovisual Media (GCAM) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on Sunday with iflix Middle East and North Africa Company to boost Saudi media production.

The agreement seeks to “develop Saudi talents by helping the company find local producers, directors, actors and writers in the field of audiovisual media,” said the authority’s statement.

It also aims to support the talented by developing, promoting and distributing their works throught the iflix entertainment service.

The agreement was signed by the GCAM Director General of Media Sector Development, Jassim Alharoon, and the Director of Operations at iflix, Mark Allan Burt.
