Egypt's Delta Sugar aims to increase capacity to 21,000 tons per day
Initiative to renovate the governmental factories in order to increase the capacity of sugar companies

ArabFinance:Delta Sugar (SUGR) has aimed to increase its factory capacity of sugar beet to 21,000 tons from 14,000 tons per day, the company Chairman and Managing Director Ahmed Abu Al-Yazid to Amwal Alghad.
In line with the Ministry of Supply and Internal Trading initiative to renovate the governmental factories in order to increase the capacity of sugar companies, Delta Sugar produces 21,000 tons of sugar beet and 3 tons of sugar cane on daily basis.
Moreover, the listed company produces 20,000 sugar cubes and targets to produce 350,000 tons of sugar yearly, Al-Yazid said.
Delta Sugar turned to a net loss in 2020, suffering EGP 253.95 million, against a net profit of EGP 42.89 million in 2019.
Delta Sugar is an Egypt-based shareholding company that operates in the food processing industry sector. The company is engaged in the manufacture of white sugar and related products. It operates one factory, which produces over 270,000 tons of white sugar annually.
