  • Expanded competencies will reinforce Xylem’s robust supply chain across the Middle East, Africa and Turkey region to address water infrastructure challenges and enhance customer economies

Dubai – UAE : Xylem Inc. (NYSE: XYL), a leading global water technology company committed to building on its strong foundation and accelerating growth by developing innovative solutions to solve the world’s water challenges, has further expanded its regional footprint with the acquisition of Turkey’s leading pumping and water treatment systems company, Anadolu Flygt.

The acquisition will allow the company to service a broader range of countries across the region and further accelerate Xylem’s growth in the Middle East market with an enhanced suite of digital water solutions, as well as proven systems for sustainable water use.

Xylem’s acquisition of Anadolu Flygt, Turkey’s market leader in the supply, installation and after-sales service for pumping and water treatment systems, is aligned with the company’s goal to strengthen its operations in the fast-growing Middle East, Africa and Turkey region, and will draw stronger synergies that support the Middle East’s water and wastewater sector. It will allow Xylem to further strengthen its supply chain for pumping and water treatment systems in the region, adding to its portfolio of water-tech solutions as well as enhanced agility to meet customer requirements.

This expansion into key emerging markets with significant room for further growth perfectly lends itself to our ambition plans by building on our capabilities to make meaningful change across the world. ”

He added: “With our focus on building smart water enterprises through digital, sustainable and efficient water and wastewater treatment solutions, we will continue to invest in opportunities to address water infrastructure challenges across the region and meet the requirements of our customers and end-users.”

Feyyaz Yumurtacı, General Manager of Anadolu Flygt, said: “We are very pleased to be joining the Xylem team, one of the most highly respected companies in the water sector.
