- Launches Alef 100 initiative to implement in UAE private schools
- Signs MoU with leading education company Tatweer in Saudi Arabia
- Participated at regional education conference GESS in Dubai
Abu Dhabi: Alef Education, the global education technology company headquartered in Abu Dhabi, announces today its plans to expand its innovation education solution across more schools in the UAE and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
Alef Education has launched the ‘Alef 100’ initiative to implement in private schools in the UAE. Following a successful rollout in the UAE public schools market, Alef Education is expanding its educational offerings to the private school market with a target of reaching at least 100 private schools in the UAE. The first 100 schools to sign up will receive pioneer benefits that include full IT & digital transformation support, ongoing teacher training and certification.
Commenting on the initiative, Geoffrey Alphonso, CEO of Alef Education, said: “We are looking to address a gap in the market with a solution that we believe can truly make an impact on student learning. To aid schools with their ongoing mission to improve the quality of instruction of their Arabic-medium subjects, we built our digital learning platform with MOE-aligned Arabic content that encourages students to drive their own learning. We have already observed successful outcomes in terms of student engagement and results as this system is currently being used at The British School Al Khubeirat and Maplewood International School in Abu Dhabi.”
In its efforts to contribute to the educational reform that has been taking place in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Alef Education has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Tatweer Company for Education Services Limited (‘Tatweer’) that outlines their collaboration plans within the education sector. Tatweer, founded in 2012, is a leading company in the field of education development in Saudi Arabia and seeks to provide students with knowledge and skills that enable them to achieve success.
Dr. Nasser Aluwaishiq, Chief Officer, Content & Technology Solutions for Tatweer Co. For Educational Services (T4edu), said: “The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has witnessed a remarkable transformation over the past few years and the country and its leaders have dedicated significant effort into improving the education sector. T4edu is embarking on a mission to offer high quality digital content to the education sector in the Kingdom, and our partnership with Alef Education, which is a leader in this field in the UAE, is an important milestone for us both.”
Mr. Alphonso added: Alef Education looks forward to working with Tatweer on their common goal of digitally transforming the education sector and making education more engaging and fun for children.
From 26th to 28th February, Alef Education has participated at GESS Dubai, one of the largest education events in the Middle East. The Alef ‘Future Classroom’ concept, which has received positive feedback at recent exhibitions, was on display at the stand. This was a good opportunity for schools and educators to experience how Alef Education can improve academic outcomes for their students.
