Cairo –  Gold prices continued its rising trend in the Egyptian market, reaching an all-time high on Wednesday, according to the gold division at the Federation of Egyptian Chambers of Commerce (FEDCOC).

The price of 24-karat gold amounted to EGP 1,046 per gram, while the per-gram prices of 21- and 18- karat gold registered EGP 915 and 784, respectively, Ehab Wassef, a member of the gold division, told Mubasher.

Globally, the prices of the precious metal gained $38 to $2,059 per ounce.
