Dubai-UAE: Dubai Silicon Oasis Authority (DSOA), the regulatory body for Dubai Silicon Oasis (DSO), an integrated free zone technology park, has announced its participation at the 2019 edition of London Tech Week, Europe’s biggest tech festival.

Convening more than 15,000 visitors, including C-suite executives, vice-presidents, technology leaders and senior representatives of diverse companies spanning the software, telecoms, fintech, electronics and hardware, supply chain, energy, data storage, and R&D fields, the five-day tech festival, running from June 10 to 14 at locations across London, offers a key platform for DSOA to tap into the European market through providing opportunities to connect with businesses both large and small, emerging leaders, media and policy makers.

During the tech festival, DSOA aims to introduce European investors to the state-of-the-art infrastructure, cutting-edge technology, and in-house business services they can benefit from at DSO, the globally recognized free zone and integrated technology park that allows people to live and work in one community. Investors and entrepreneurs also have the chance to examine DSO’s range of plug & play offices, smart facilities, multiple-use warehouses, manufacturing facilities, and Light Industrial Units (LIUs) of different dimensions, among other value-added services.

Aiming to meet the growing demand from local, regional, and international investors, DSOA is now in the final stages of completion of its Silicon Park project. The first integrated smart city in Dubai that sets a new global benchmark for smart technology solutions, is scheduled for handover in the coming months. Silicon Park in set to deliver 71,000 square meters of office space, 25,000 square meters of commercial space, and a 46,000-square-meter residential component.

Entrepreneurs visiting London Tech Week can also learn about the Dubai Technology Entrepreneur Campus (Dtec), the largest coworking space in the MENA region, and home to more than 800 startups from 72 countries. Wholly owned by DSOA, Dtec is committed to providing advanced facilities to startups and entrepreneurs that develop innovative solutions for smart cities, such as those focused on overcoming congestion, as well as optimizing waste management and energy efficiency.

London Tech Week annually brings together the entire digital transformation ecosystem and examines leading topics driving change in enterprises, such as the internet of things, artificial intelligence, blockchain, augmented reality and virtual reality, as well as cloud and quantum computing. It also serves as an acceleration platform for startups through the venture capital programs hosted throughout the event.
