Riyadh –  Cambridge Medical and Rehabilitation Center (CMRC), the UAE’s leading post-acute rehabilitation and long-term care facility, opened its first medical facility in Saudi Arabia.

Located between the Saudi cities of Dhahran and Al Khobar, the newly opened facility received about 15 patients and will serve patients across the eastern region of the kingdom, CMRC said in a statement on Monday.

CMRC’s new 60-bed facility helps patients requiring post-acute care and rehabilitation services to make large improvements in their quality of life through multidisciplinary rehabilitative therapies including physiatry, physiotherapy, occupational therapy, speech and language therapy, and multi-sensory room sessions.

“We expand into countries where there is notable demand for post-acute care and rehabilitation services,” Howard S. Podolsky, CEO of CMRC, commented.

The new facility comprises multiple clinical experts including GPs, internal medicine consultants, paediatricians, ICU intensivists, rehabilitation consultants, psychologist, and therapist.

“We look forward to helping families in the region improve their quality of life and using our international expertise and specialised workforce to support the Government of Saudi Arabia’s focus on healthcare development, as part of Saudi Vision 2030,” Podolsky added.
