MANAMA: Takaful International Company has launched Enaya, a new programme to provide health insurance for domestic helpers.

This coverage includes health services specifically designed to suit the primary needs of domestic category workers and costs BD48 annually, covering treatment costs of up to BD5,000 depending on other optional benefits.

“Enaya will cover domestic and similar category workers including drivers, cooks, gardeners, farmers and helpers, who hold valid work permits and are legal residents of the kingdom,” added Reema Nowrooz, chief underwriting officer of Family Takaful and Health Care.

“It also includes exceptional benefits compared to other health programmes, by covering chronic illnesses and pre-existing conditions that requires treatment.

“Furthermore, this plan also includes dental treatment and eye examination, as well as the repatriation of mortal remains in the event of normal death or death caused by surgery.”
