Saudi Telecom cancels 50% of overdue bills

Riyadh –  Saudi Telecom Company (stc) unveiled an initiative to facilitate payments of old billing debts that includes up to 50% discounts on the billing value.

The move will allow customers to settle their old dues easily and smoothly, according to a recent press release.

A special unit was established by stc for this purpose to communicate with troubled customers and enhance their experiences in efforts to ensure easy payment processes.

Old dues are invoices issued since 2017 and before which customers could not pay, the statement read.

Moreover, the initiative to reduce debts comes as a social role, particularly amid the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.

The telecom company introduced a number of initiatives and discounts on various services offered to individuals and businesses, but the latest one is the largest in the company’s history.
