Russia's Sukhoi could open Saudi technical support centre -Asharq

More than 10 aviation companies expressed interest in operating the Superjet 100 when it was presented at this month's Saudi International Airshow in Riyadh

DUBAI  - Russia's Sukhoi Civil Aircraft is considering opening a technical centre in Saudi Arabia to support operators of its Superjet 100 planes in the region, company president Alexander Rubtsov said in an interview in Saudi newspaper Asharq al-Awsat.

More than 10 aviation companies expressed interest in operating the Superjet 100 when it was presented at this month's Saudi International Airshow in Riyadh, he said, without identifying any by name.

Iran is among countries that have expressed interest in the Sukhoi aircraft.
