BEIJING - China's National Energy Administration has approved a coal mining project in the southwestern province of Guizhou, with an annual production capacity of 2.1 million tonnes.

The project, owned by Guizhou Hualong Coal Co, involves total investment at 2.315 billion yuan ($355.03 million), according to a statement issued on Tuesday by the administration.
