ArabFinance: Banque du Caire (BQDC) closed a branch in Downtown Cairo for three days after two of its employees tested positive for coronavirus, Hapi Journal quoted Chairman Tarek Fayed as saying.

This announcement came after social media posts claimed the branch’s entire staff were infected.

In early April, the national bank announced supporting 10,000 families of daily employment to provide emergency food aid for unregulated employment.

The bank also allocated EGP 40 million in donations as part of the Federation of Egyptian Banks’ EGP 150 million initiative to support households and businesses affected by the coronavirus.
