Cairo – Mubasher: Banque Misr contributed to eight syndicated loans worth EGP 20.45 billion during fiscal year 2018/2019, the bank’s vice chairman Akef El-Maghraby said.

The Egyptian lender injected EGP 10.05 billion to these syndicated loans during the twelve-month period ended 30 June, El-Maghraby told Mubasher.

Such funding was directed to real estate investment, petroleum, gas, building materials, financial services, and mortgage sectors, he revealed.

During FY17/18, Banque Misr’s profit after taxes plunged to EGP 4.1 billion, compared to EGP 8.2 billion in FY16/17.
