Muscat, Oman: Ooredoo, one of the largest communications service providers in the Sultanate, and Huawei, a leading global provider of information and communications technology (ICT) solutions, have announced the signing of a three-year contract for CT and telecoms managed services, starting from 1 January 2022. The contract, which extends a five-year relationship between the two parties, will see Huawei provide operations and maintenance as well as network performance management services for Ooredoo, as it continues to harness the latest digital technologies and position itself as a market leader.

“Our industry is changing faster than ever before, and by working with industry leaders like Huawei we are making sure we stay ahead of the curve. Our partnership, which began in 2012, will focus on optimising our digital operations using state-of-the-art artificial intelligence and machine learning-based technologies and tools,” said Dr. Ahmed Abdullah Al Abri, Chief Technology and Information Officer at Ooredoo. “As we continue to accelerate our digital transformation and supporting the Sultanate’s 2040 Vision, we look forward to launching even more innovative services to enrich our customers’ digital lives.”
