Notes to the editor:

  • In 2019, ENOC launched 10 service stations across the UAE.
  • ENOC expanded its footprint in the Northern Emirates by opening three service stations in Sharjah and one in Ras Al Khaimah and Fujairah each in 2019.
  • By the end of 2020, ENOC will launch nine more stations in Sharjah and nine more in Dubai and three in the Northern Emirates.
  • Last year, ENOC unveiled a Ghaf tree inspired service station for Expo 2020 site with the following features:
  • Built on an exoskeleton of Ghaf tree structure, designed to symbolise Year of Tolerance
  • Region’s first LEED Gold certified service station
  • Carbon fibre canopy - a light material three times stronger than steel, used first time in the region
  • Wind turbines to generate an average of 30 to 40 Kw (Kilowatt) of power from wind energy
  • A fully self-sufficient on-grid solar system that brings energy utility of the station near zero
  • ENOC compact’s fuelling unit is distinguished for its mobility as it can be dismantled, relocated and re-installed at locations without easy access to fuel in just 30 days.
  • All new ENOC service stations are designed with UL Certified double wall tanks and fuel piping with secondary containment to mitigate environmental pollution.
  • The service stations also come equipped with Photo-Voltaic (PV) solar panels, installed on the canopy of service stations, to generate up to 120kWh (Kilowatt per hour) energy, which is about 30 per cent more than the average energy required to run a station.
  • The excess power generated from solar energy is transmitted back to the main grid of Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) with a solar meter installed to monitor the power to be sent to the grid.
  • The new stations come equipped with a host of smart and sustainable features including the Vapour Recovery System (VRS) to prevent emissions to the environment, full LED lights installed to save energy consumption by 50 per cent, and Variable Refrigerant Flow (VRF) technology for the air conditioning system which saves 35 per cent compared to conventional package AC systems.
