ABU DHABI, 8th September 2015 (WAM) - Under the patronage of H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Ruler's Representative in the Western Region, Chairman of the Emirates Falconers Club, the 13th edition Abu Dhabi International Hunting and Equestrian Exhibition is due to commence from the 9th to 12th September 2015 with a joint participation by Tawazun Holding (Tawazun) and Emirates Defence Industries Company (EDIC).

State-of-the-art shooting club Remaya, known for its highest standards of quality and innovation, which is a subsidiary of Tawazun, confirmed participation in the Exhibition with exceptional packages and live performance.

Hamid Obaid Al Ali, Acting Director General ? Remaya, said, "Our participation is of particular importance to promote Remaya amongst visitors and key investors during the International Exhibition which is undoubtedly a major show in the region and worldwide, as it plays an important role in promoting archery and attracts many interested visitors and tourists to the Capital."He said in a press statement on the occasion that "Remaya is committed to working to transform the UAE into a regional archery hub ahead of regional countries, assisted by latest technology in that field."During the exhibition, Remaya will interact with the audience through an ancient type of archery known in the honorable heritage of the UAE, which is considered part of the well-established Emirati traditions.

"We will share with visitors special services provided by Remaya, review the establishment and management of shooting arenas, in addition to comprehensive solutions which contributed to the creation of Caracal Shooting Club at the Armed Forces Officers Club in Abu Dhabi," he said.

Al Ali revealed that Remaya signed agreements with major international companies in the field of archery in order to develop the expertise and skills of their employees, pointing out that Emiratization has reached 33 per cent.

Merkel, a German high-tech rifle producer, part of the Tawazun Group, is also taking part in the exhibition to introduce its new custom-made and artistically engraved high-class Helix models - especially designed and made for customers from the gulf region. This year, they will be displaying four variant styles of this fantastic luxury rifle which is hand-made with artistic engravings and equipped with an assortment of barrels for different game and hunting: the Helix White Mosque, the Helix Emir?s Palace, the Helix African Dream and Helix, and The Capital.

Caracal International, a subsidiary of Emirates Defense Industries Company (EDIC), on the other hand, will be exhibiting at ADIHEX 2015 naming it an important show especially for launching new products directly from the 2016 weapons portfolio such as the Enhanced Caracal F pistol and the latest generation Caracal 1911 9mm pistol, along with elite, bespoke, hunting rifles and accessories.

Moreover, Caracal Light Ammunition Company (CLA), another member of the EDIC group, will showcase various lines of its products, including its world-class quality UAE made metallic and shot shell ammunition, used internationally by different hunting and sporting weaponry.

It is noted that the Abu Dhabi International Hunting and Equestrian Exhibition 2014 Exhibition participation witnessed a considerable public participation by more than 110,000 visitors, with the participation of 48 countries represented by more than 640 exhibitors and companies. The capital hosted the event on an area of almost 40,000 square meters, the event was covered by 575 media representatives worldwide.

The event is the Arabian Gulf?s most renowned hunting and equestrian exhibition where visitors can enjoy camel auctions, saluki and falcon beauty contests, art and coffee-making competitions, as well as a variety of traditional hunting and equestrian activities.
