Dubai, United Arab Emirates: Tejari/JAGGAER, the world’s largest independent spend management company, has announced its participation in the 40th GITEX Technology Week, which starts today and continues until the 10th December, at the Dubai World Trade Centre.

The company, who recently celebrated 25 years of business with a newly refreshed brand, an upgraded website, will showcase its latest technological developments and software launches to support procurement teams throughout the UAE and the wider Middle East region.

Thomas Dieringer, President for Europe Middle East and Africa, JAGGAER said: "GITEX Technology Week provides the perfect platform to showcase our advances in technology, while also garnering an insight into the latest technology trends from around the world.

We would like to congratulate all those involved in the running of GITEX Technology week for ensuring this physical event can go ahead. With the difficult year we have faced it is testament to the leadership of Dubai that events of this magnitude are able to go ahead.

“We look forward to maximising the opportunity to meet existing clients and build new relationships.”

Tejari/JAGGAER will participate at the event under the Smart Dubai umbrella after their long-standing partnership with the Dubai Government Procurement Portal eSupply. The portal has subsequently provided suppliers with the opportunity to participate in transparent online bidding activities for contracts and tenders published by over 40 major Dubai Government entities.

The implementation of the platform has reduced the processes required, increased engagement, and resulted in several best practices being adopted during the procurement process.

As a result of introducing the platform, Government suppliers have increased, and created ease of communication. The system also promoted sustainability through the implementation of paperless tendering processes and contracts. The security credentials, processing power, connectivity, and time efficiencies within the evaluation process have all subsequently improved.

“Ensuring effective and efficient management of strategic sourcing events, supplier registration, and performance through a single, user-friendly centralised repository, has been a game-changer to many government entities and businesses in the Middle East. Since its inception, the portal has provided buyers and prospective suppliers with the most efficient, effective, and transparent means of interaction,” added Dieringer

JAGGAER now has over 70 customers in the Middle East connected to a global network of 4 million suppliers in 70 countries around the world. The company has experienced tremendous growth in the region and now has plans to expand its location and headcount.
