LONDON- Germany has appointed banks for a new 15-year euro-denominated syndicated bond issue, according to a lead manager, as the country ramps up borrowing to help support the economy through the COVID-19 crisis.

BNP Paribas, BofA Securities, Credit Agricole CIB, Commerzbank and HSBC have been appointed to manage the deal, which will be launched in the near future, the lead manager said.
