Manama, Bahrain:  The Supreme Council for Environment (SCE) will be delivering  two key seminars at the Gulf Property Show  , which takes place in Bahrain form 23-25 April under the patronage of HRH Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa  the Prime Minister of Bahrain

The designated topics  will  outline   the Rules and Regulations of EIA Licensing and the Monitoring of Reclamation and Dredging Projects.

Dr. Mohamed Mubarak Bin Daina, Chief Executive of SCE will lead the seminar looking at Environmental Impact Assessment Licensing. The importance of the EIA  according to  Dr Bin Daina can not be stressed enough  “  An EIA is a scientific study that ensures reducing environmental risks and impacts resulting from the implementation of development projects, and takes into account the environmental conditions and standards that must be provided when launching major development projects.”

The monitoring of Reclamation and Dredging Projects seminar will be lead by Mr. Ali Abdulla Isa, Senior Environmental Specialist, Biodiversity Directorate Supreme Council for Environment.

The Supreme Council for Environment (SCE) in Bahrain is a government entity in charge of the development of Bahrian’s future strategy for the environment and sustainable development, and following up on the implementation of this strategy with relevant ministries, agencies and institutions. The SCE’s mandate also includes protecting Bahrain’s natural habitat and human environment, ensuring the sustainability of its components, and preserving and developing its resources for future generations.
