The upcoming Abu Dhabi International Book Fair (ADIBF) will see the participation of more than 800 exhibitors from 46 countries around the world, and will comprise more than 104 virtual and physical sessions.

The 30th edition of the event will take place at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre from May 23 – 29.

The event will be held under the patronage of Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, and is being held in collaboration with the Abu Dhabi Arabic Language Centre, part of the Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi (DCT Abu Dhabi).

The programme boasts a rich cultural, professional and educational offering in both Arabic and English, in addition to an exciting line-up of artistic performances. This year’s activities will be held in co-operation with more than 20 local and international cultural institutions and organisations. The fair will include programmes and seminars hosted by a wide range of authors and publishers, who will discuss the latest trends across the publishing industry.

The Abu Dhabi National Exhibitions Company (Adnec) has been pivotal in enabling safe public gatherings, following its hugely successful edition of IDEX and NAVDEX earlier this year and are ready to host ADIBF to the same rigorously high standards. Adnec has implemented the highest levels of global precautionary and preventive measures that are also in line with DCT – Abu Dhabi’s guidelines for hosting events to ensure the safety of visitors and participants, with a wide raft of precautionary measures being implemented across ADIBF.

The event will see the use of thermal scanners, sanitisation and disinfection procedures, and disinfectant fogging machines. All visitors and participants will be required to have a negative result for Covid-19 from a PCR test and social distancing is mandated across Adnec facilities.

Registration in advance is mandatory for all visitors to obtain an electronic access card. Visitors can register through the exhibition’s website at adbookfair.com, or through the mobile application available on the App Store and Play Store. – TradeArabia News Service
