ArabFinance: The Ministry of Emigration and Egyptian Expatriates Affairs announced that 5,395 citizens arrived at Cairo International Airport on June 23rd, according to an official statement.

The repatriates traveled from the US, Saudi Arabia, Oman, the UAE, Kuwait, and European states.

The returnees are part of those stranded in Arab and foreign countries in line with the outbreak of COVID-19 worldwide.

Ministry of Manpower said that over 1,000 Egyptian nationals would arrive from Kuwait.

In addition, the country returned 800 of the citizens after being stuck in Sudan.

Meanwhile, the North African country will reopen its airports as of July 1st.
