Amman: Under the patronage of His Highness Prince Faisal Bin Raad and with participation of his son, His Highness Prince Hashem, the children race organized by the Jordan Marathon Association and Amman Municipality, was concluded as a miniature version of the Amman Marathon, which will be held next Friday on the 29th of October.
The children race witnessed participation of more than 1,000 children aged between 6 and 14 years. The race was held in Al Hussein Garden in the Amman Summer Festival Square. The race started between 8.00 and 9.30 in the morning and the results were as follows:
Male 9-11 years:
1st place: Othman Atieh / Timing 11:06.7
2nd place: Ibrahim Abu syam: timing 11:21.7
3rd place: Fahed Atieh / Timing 11:41.0
Female 9-11 years:
1st place: Huda Jarat / Timing 12:13.5
2nd place: Eman Tumaizi / timing 12:38.7
3rd place: Alma Al Hayek / Timing 16:16.5
Male 12-14 years:
1st place: Mohammad ALTumaizi / Timing 10:25.7
2nd place: Rakan Atieh / Timing 10:34.2
3rd place: Ahmad Mustafa / Timing 10:51.7
Female 12-14 years:
1st place: Ekhlas Al Eshraa’a / Timing 11:19.3
2nd place: Laila Rebhe / Timing 11:34.9
3rd place: Malak Abu Salm / Timing 11:37.9
The general manager of the Jordanian Marathon Association, Ms. Lina Al Kurd, thanked all those who contributed to the support and success of the race, which has become a sporting event awaited by everyone, including children and their families.
Al Kurd added: “We expect good participation in the Amman Marathon, and the registration doors will continue to be open at Run Jordan offices in Shmiesani, from 10.00 am till 5.00 pm, in addition to the registration and payment service through the association’s website (registration.runjordan.com)”.
