DUBAI: The number of pilgrims arriving in Saudi Arabia for the Hajj pilgrimage has increased by nearly 65,000 people – that is a 7 percent increase on the same period last year, state news agency SPA reported.

The number of pilgrims arriving at the Kingdoms air, land and sea ports up until Wednesday had reached 1,057,880, according to the Directorate General For Passports.

The Directorate said that the number of pilgrims arriving by air had reached 998,811, while 48,515 had entered by land and a further 10,554 by sea.
