UAE-based waste management company Bee'ah and Greece-based Polyeco have partnered to build an advanced Alternative Raw Material Facility in Bee'ah's Waste Management Complex in Al Sa'jaa, Sharjah.

The facility is expected to commence operations this month, according to local media reports.

The report said the new facility will use zero-waste process to treat maritime waste and marine-related hazardous waste to create a byproduct of Alternative Raw Materials.

The two companies will also explore future collaborations in maritime pollution such as oil spill response services and green ship recycling.

DNV GL is carrying out a comparative conformance study to ensure that the new facility conforms to standards of Polyeco's facilities in Greece.
