National Bank of Kuwait (NBK) distributed Iftar meals in Abu Halifa and Al Mahboula areas in line with NBK Iftar charitable campaign conducted throughout the holy month of Ramadan as part of “Do Good Deeds in Ramadan” program.

NBK convoys toured the inner-city neighborhoods of both areas, where dozens of volunteers distributed Iftar meals to fasting people.

“NBK continues to carry out its field visits to distribute Iftar meals to fasting people throughout the holy month of Ramadan. Visiting Kuwait International Airport is part of the field visits that the bank seeks to carry out during this holy month, besides mosques, ministries, hospitals and places where there is a large number of low-income families, in addition to visiting public facilities and other key locations”. Yacoub Al-Baqer, NBK Public Relations Officer said.

Al-Baqer added that NBK Iftar campaign is a distinctive milestone and a main feature of the Bank’s annual Ramadan program. NBK is keen to focus on its initiatives dedicated to serve this campaign year after year, especially through intensive field visits, covering various regions in Kuwait, to provide iftar meals throughout the holy month. As part of this campaign, NBK continues to welcome fasting guests in its Iftar tent set up next to the Scientific Center, where a team of dedicated volunteers is present to welcome our visitors and serve them Iftar meals, in addition to providing any other required services they may need.

For over 20 years, NBK has carried out the "Do Good Deeds in Ramadan" program, which includes many events, contributions, social welfare and voluntary activities. This initiative is in line with NBK’s keenness to reach out to various social institutions and all sectors of the society, maintaining its leading position as a dedicated private institution that is keeping true to its CSR values through translating them into valuable programs and initiatives that have substantive social dimension.
