National Bank of Kuwait (NBK) shared the joy of Gergean with the children at Naif Palace and Mubarakiya. This is an annual tradition celebrated by children in Kuwait during the middle of the month of Ramadan. In order to share those joyous moments with the children, the Gergean event held in Mubarakiya was a fun filled entertainment program including an ice cream truck decorated with Gergean theme.

Meanwhile, at Nayef Palace, NBK participated in the Gergean celebration with fasting people and kids as part of the Bank’s sponsorship of the “Iftar Canon” program for the fourth consecutive year. Dedicated NBK volunteers are available on daily basis at Naif Palace around the time of Iftar to distribute meals to fasting people. In addition to that, NBK also offers valuable prizes to participants in the daily competition program aired on Kuwait TV.

“Sharing such joyous moments with the children's stems from our inclusive corporate social responsibility towards the community, especially that NBK highly recognizes the importance of its social initiatives as the best way to achieve Kuwait’s development, progress and prosperity”. said Joanne Al Abdul Jaleel, NBK Public Relations Officer.

Al Abdul Jaleel added that this visit is part of NBK’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Program held during the holy month of Ramadan, which is filled with various charitable and humanitarian activities, as well as social welfare initiatives through providing support to various institutions and social groups, in addition to volunteering efforts and charitable events.

During the holy month of Ramadan, NBK volunteers organize various visits, covering dozens of social centers and institutions as part of the Bank’s initiatives for the holy month of Ramadan. NBK carries on its humanitarian initiatives and support of social welfare programs, as it firmly believes in the importance of corporate social responsibility and its effective impact in serving the community and its people, as well as emphasizing the leading role NBK has been playing in that field for many decades.
