MANAMA- Sheikh Khalid bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, Royal Court Minister in the Kingdom of Bahrain, and Dr. Jamal Sanad Al Suwaidi, Director-General of the Emirates Centre for Strategic Studies and Research, ECSSR, have met to discuss ways of enhancing cooperation between the UAE and Bahrain in the fields of cultural and scientific cooperation, in light of the latest developments in the region.

The meeting, which was held on Wednesday at the Bahraini Minister's office at the Royal Court in Manama, was attended by Dr. Abdullah Mohammed Al Rayes, Director-General of the National Archives, Reda Abdullah Al Khouri, UAE Ambassador to Bahrain, and Dr. Sheikh Abdulla bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Bahrain Centre for Strategic, International and Energy Studies.

Sheikh Khalid commended the efforts of Dr. Al Suwaidi in the field of scientific research and his leading role in educating the public on issues of interest to the region through a number of valuable works, especially through The Mirage, a book which addresses the issue of religious political groups, highlighting their exploitation of the Islamic religion to achieve political and personal interests, and refuting the illusion sold and marketed by such groups to the Arab and Islamic public.

Expressing his thanks and pleasure at the meeting, Dr. Jamal Al Suwaidi presented Sheikh Khalid with a copy of his new book, "Do Not Give Up: A Summary of My Experiences".
