CAIRO, Oct 8 (KUNA) -- Kuwait is exerting efforts to provide proper housing units for citizens, an official said Monday on fringes of an Arab League committee meeting on housing.

Mohammad Snaideh, Deputy Director General of Public Authority for Housing Welfare (PAHW) for planning and design, said Kuwait government distributed 28,500 houses in West Abdullah Al-Mubarak Area.

He was speaking to KUNA on sidelines of a meeting of the technical committee of the Arab Housing Ministers' Council.

Snaideh said more than 80,000 housing units would be offered in South Saad Al-Abdullah and Al-Khairan Areas.

Meanwhile, the committee members would be discussing over three days means of helping Arab countries facing armed conflicts and natural disasters.

The committee members will also discuss following up the implementation of resolutions of Arab Economic Summits over housing. (end) mfm.bs
