DUBAI- Kuwait Petroleum Corporation (KPC) has exported its first-ever light crude cargo on Monday, Kuwait's oil minister Bakhit al-Rashidi said.

The new grade will put Kuwait among those countries producing high quality light crude which is in high demand in international markets, the minister, who is also chairman of KPC, told the state new agency KUNA.

KPC had said last year it was working to produce a new sour grade, "Kuwait Super Light", with an API gravity of 47 and a sulphur content of 1.6 percent.
