AMMAN — The Cabinet on Sunday approved the draft law of the organisation of state budget law for 2021 and the draft law governing the budgets of independent public institutions.

The bill aims to organise the management of public money, along with assigning the responsibilities and roles of the official bodies in this arena, as well as forming the bases for preparing, implementing and controlling the state budget and budgets of independent public institutions, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.

The Cabinet also passed the income tax system in developmental areas for 2021. During the session, the Council of Ministers also passed a draft bylaw of an amended draft bylaw related to licensing within the Greater Amman Municipality (GAM) for 2021, a move towards encouraging investments in the GAM's advertising sector, notably reducing licence fees and fines.
