Egypt - Hassan Allam Construction, a subsidiary of Hassan Allam Holding, has been awarded the construction works of the Maghagha Wastewater Treatment Plant in El Minya by the Ministry of Housing and Urban Development, Hassan Allam Holding announced in a post on Facebook.

The company will handle the engineering, procurement, and construction of the entire plant with a capacity of 30,000 cubic meters per day, which is expected to expand to 60,000 cubic meters per day.

The plant will be carried out by a joint venture between Hassan Allam Construction and the holding company’s engineering arm PGESCo.

This project comes as part of Hassan Allam Holding’s strategy “to leverage the group’s multiple synergies and vertical integration”, Hassan Allam Holding highlighted.

The Maghagha Wastewater Treatment Plant project is expected to play a vital role in diminishing the pollution of the local water resources in the five towns surrounding Maghagha and in enhancing wastewater collection and treatment in that region.

Additionally, this comes within the framework of Egypt’s strategy to provide proper infrastructure for rural cities and improve the quality of life for these underserved communities, he holding company said.
