Friends Provident International (FPI) has appointed Chris Divito as Managing Director, Middle East and Africa.

Divito joins FPI from the Dubai International Financial Centre Authority (DIFCA) where he was Senior Vice President and Head of Wealth and Asset Management. Prior to working for DIFCA, he was CEO of Standard Life’s Middle East business. He takes over from Marcus Gent who - having completed a three-year secondment - has returned with his family to the United Kingdom.

Chris Divito, Managing Director, Middle East and Africa at FPI said: "I am absolutely delighted to have the opportunity to join FPI at what is a particularly exciting time for the business, and for the life industry in the Middle East in general. As a former competitor during my time with Standard Life in the region, I know that FPI has a strong proposition and a great team. I have every confidence we can leverage our existing strengths to grow our presence still further in our key markets."

Chris Divito is a Fellow of the Personal Finance Society, a Chartered Financial Planner and a Member of the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investments.

Adrian Emery CEO, FPI commented “I would like to thank Marcus for his commitment and outstanding contribution to the business over the last three years. At the same time I am delighted that Chris has agreed to join FPI, and contribute his experience to lead FPI’s Middle East business.”
