As Careers@Hilton Week takes place, the Global Millennial Viewpoints Survey of 7,600 youth in 30 countries around the world reveals that:

· More than half (56%) of survey participants worldwide look for flexible work hours and work/life balance

· One in three (33%) seek the flexibility to move to different regions and countries

· Nearly half (40%) are unhappy with opportunities for internships and apprenticeships as part of their education

· More than a quarter (27%) are swayed by a job which includes the ability to volunteer or work towards a mission

Egypt Young people are craving jobs with greater flexibility and the ability to experience working in multiple regions and countries, according to new research from International Youth Foundation, in partnership with Hilton (NYSE: HLT).  Enhanced internships and apprenticeships, and the option to volunteer or work towards a mission, are among the most sought after attributes of a role, the survey of people aged 16-24 found. Nearly one in five (17%) young people surveyed are considering hospitality as a top three career choice.

In Egypt, the Global Millennial Viewpoints Survey found that:

·         More than half (52%) of young people surveyed look for flexible work hours/ability to balance work and home life and more than a third want the flexibility to move to different regions and countries (35%).

·         Egyptian participants were more satisfied with intern and apprenticeship opportunities than any other country surveyed (60%)

·         Nearly half (45%) of those surveyed in Egypt want to interact with customers

Last week (15-21 May) was Careers@Hilton Week, Hilton’s annual global career event showcasing the many opportunities available in the hospitality industry for young people and other job seekers. Hilton hotels and corporate offices around the globe are hosting hundreds of events to inspire young people about the exciting and diverse career opportunities in the hospitality industry. Global Millenial Viewpoints Survey
The survey was conducted in September 2016 and aimed to understand youth perceptions related to:

·         Economic opportunity and work

·         Education

·         Health

·         Information and technology

·         Governance and citizen participation

·         Safety and security

·         Values

The survey instrument was designed by IYF, with support from YouGov. The survey was programmed and administered online in 30 countries, using research panels to provide the sample. A minimum of 250 interviews were conducted in each country.
