Cairo– Mubasher: Interest rates in Egypt are expected to decline to 13.25% by the end of 2018, Capital Economics said in a recent report.

The research company also projects that interest rates would continue to decline towards 11.25% by late 2019, and 10.75% in 2020.

On 9 August, the leading independent research firm stated that the Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) would maintain interest rates in order to monitor the impact after increasing prices in July.

The CBE intends to lower interest rates during its meeting slated for 27 September.
