Diyar Al Muharraq, Bahrain: As it continues to seize remarkable achievements that cement its position as the number one family shopping destination in the Kingdom of Bahrain, Dragon City, the largest wholesale and retail trade centre on the island, confirmed that almost one million shoppers visited the mall during the month of August this year.

This comes as the mall announced an outstanding rise in the numbers of walk-in shoppers recorded throughout the past eight months, in comparison with the same period last year.

Explaining more, Mr. Patrick Zheng Shou, Chairman of Chinamex, Dragon City’s operating company,  confirmed that more than 900,000 shoppers visited the mall in August alone, with an average daily footfall of 29.000 visitors.

Mr. Patrick said the figures are considered as a significant achievement for Dragon City, which remains in the forefront of shopping complexes in Bahrain, especially as the latest statistics indicated that more than 6.1 million visitors have been recorded at Dragon City since January 1, 2019, with an average daily footfall of 25,000, achieving an extraordinary 8.6 percent increase in comparison with 2018, which witnessed a 23,000 average daily footfall rate.

Commenting further, the Chairman added: “The footfall rates at Dragon City have been steadily increasing, as we continue our efforts to successfully maintain the confidence of shoppers and traders from Bahrain and abroad, offering them high quality products, an astounding family atmosphere and periodic promotional campaigns that grants them the opportunity to win many valuable prizes. We are grateful to our valued customers, as they are the backbone of our success to become the number one family shopping centre in the Kingdom.”

Dragon City is a first of its kind project in the Kingdom and it includes Dragon Mall, Dragon Apartments, Dining Village, Dragon Plaza and an allocated area for warehouses. Located Southwest of Diyar Al Muharraq, it is strategically located in close proximity to Bahrain International Airport, the Khalifa Bin Salman Port and the Capital of the Kingdom of Bahrain, Manama, making it ideal and providing easy access to customers from both the Kingdom and beyond.
