Christine Ozden, Chief Executive of Cambridge Assessment International Education, visits Egypt as part of her Middle East and North Africa trip this month. Speaking to educational leaders in Cairo on November 5, Christine Ozden said that one of her top priorities on becoming Group Chief Executive was to visit Egypt. She says: 'Our goal is to shape our educational programmes and continue to work in the best way to prepare school students to be ready for the world. We can only do that with the ongoing dialogue with our schools around the world'.

Christine's visit to Egypt is especially notable as she is meeting with senior staff at the Ministry of Education to discuss education matters and future collaboration. During her visit, Christine also met with senior executives from the British Council and conversed on the importance of British education programmes offered to Egyptian students. She also met with key educators and outstanding students from different schools.

During the visit, Outstanding Cambridge Learner Award winners for June 2019 exam series were announced, where 100 awards in total were won in Egypt, and 18 students scooped Top in the World awards from schools across the country:

Cambridge International has a long history of working with schools in Egypt, with over 150 schools in the country offering Cambridge programmes and qualifications. In June 2019, schools in Egypt made nearly 93,000 entries for Cambridge qualifications. The most popular Cambridge IGCSEs studied by Egyptian students were in order: Physics, Mathematics and English Language. The most popular Cambridge International AS & A Level subjects were in order: Biology, Physics and Mathematics.
