KUWAIT CITY -  The Civil Service Commission (CSC) has lifted the ban on the recruitment of non-Kuwaitis for 214 job slots in the Ministry of Health, reports Al-Anba daily. The daily obtained a copy of the CSC’s letter to the ministry stating that these job slots include 57 for doctors, 131 for the nursing staff, 23 for technicians and three for pharmacists.

Sources revealed the CSC had earlier instructed the ministry to refrain from filling up these job slots until the completion of the legal period specified for the payment of the salaries of outgoing employees who occupied these positions against the balance of their annual leave days. Sources went on to say that at the time, the CSC instructed the Ministry of Finance to retain the abovementioned job slots in the Ministry of Health’s budget for fiscal 2022/2023. The CSC affirmed in its letter that these positions became vacant in fiscal 2021/2022, sources added.
