MANAMA: Bahrain-based Bank ABC has appointed Fouad Salame as group head of financial institutions.

Reporting to group head of wholesale banking Jonathan Robinson, Mr Salame will be based at the head office in Bahrain.

He will be responsible for overseeing the bank’s group financial institution coverage and driving the growth of strategic clients’ segment business across its global network.

Mr Salame joins Bank ABC from Societe Generale, where he served as managing director/head of sovereigns and financial institutions of Mena.

His banking and financial markets experience extends more than 25 years, as he held senior positions at VTB Capital, Commerzbank AG, BMB Investment Bank and BSI International Private Banking.

“Fouad is a seasoned banker with proven experience. His appointment will accelerate the growth of our global wholesale banking business,” Mr Robinson said.
