In line with the global trends about using application systems to the perfect usage of natural resources, faculty of Engineering, Ain-Shams University and HADATH association for creativity and entrepreneurship announces organizing the first international conference “ByPalma World Conference” of palm substitutes  and maximizing industrial and economic benefits, in Aswan.

The conference will be held between 15 and 17 December 2018 under the auspices of the Ministry of Environmental Affairs with the participation of group of scientists and researchers from all over the world, industry men, plenty of local associations, international organizations and research institutes like UNIDO.

The conference will be held under the supervision of internarial expert and Professor emeritus at Ain-Shams University Hamed Almawsely, he is one of the pioneers of sustainable development. Almawsely has won numerous local and international awards and who discovered that the mechanical specification of palm leaves match the international specification, specifically the manufacture of counter panels and MDFs. Almawsely has inspirational experiments in transferring the scientific theories to practical reality in the economic development of poor villages all over Egypt to produce by-products form palm trees like counter panels and MDFs and feeds.

The conference will discuss count of main themes related the field of modern uses of palm substitutes, one of them is spotting the technological updates and modern innovations for best usage of these products.

The conference will also discuss the challenges and chances to promote such type of specific specialized industries in Egypt and the Arab region, in addition to focusing the successful stories in rediscovery of the role of palm substitutes as renewable resources and in line with the global views to protect the environment and reduce pollution rates. Also the conference will point to the ways to stop environmental risks caused by the waste of by-products of palm trees.

In a related context, the conference allows youth and entrepreneurs who have creative ideas based on palm trees to participate in conference to learn more about investment opportunities to promote this industry in Egypt, as the conference will host the finals of the first international competition to benefit from agricultural waste under the name of “Zero AgroWaste Competition”. It’s an international competition for college students, entrepreneurs, startups and large companies to apply the concept of “A world without wastes” by creative ideas based on better uses of agricultural wastes as a renewable source of energy that can protect the environment.
