The department provides a wide array of medical oncology services to patients suffering from tumours and blood disorders, as per the latest international and most effective methods.
These services include general oncology diagnosis and treatment services, early diagnosis and treatment of breast cancer for women and prostate cancer for men, in addition to chemotherapy, hormone therapy and preventive therapy, according to the condition of each patient.
Led by renowned oncology consultants, who have long years of experience in the field of cancer diagnosis and treatment, the team of experts at the Hematology and Oncology Department in Al Salam Specialist Hospital consists of experienced assistant doctors, a specialised nursing team and a licensed pharmacist with special training in how to design, give, monitor and change chemotherapy for cancer patients.
The responsibilities of the team are not limited to providing treatment and monitoring cancer patients, but it also include educating them on the benefits and possible side effects of therapy, in addition to precautionary measures and the appropriate approaches to handle the disease.

Dr. Khalifa confirmed that the department is well equipped to ensure that patients are safely treated and protected from possible side effects of treatment.

follow the different stages of each patient’s case, to ensure they receive the proper diagnosis and treatment, with accordance to their condition,” Dr. Khalifa added.
