Ajman: The Ajman Department of Tourism Development was awarded a 5-star rating for eight digital services provided through the third phase of its Star Rating System for Digital Services, which was launched by Ajman’s Digital Department to evaluate and adopt superior governmental digital services according to consolidated standards.
And within its efforts to stimulate the framework of the digital transformation governance across all governmental authorities and departments, and aiming to offer the latest digital projects and transition towards a digital future, the Ajman Department of Tourism Development confirmed that with this new classification, 50% of its digital services will be possessing a 5-star rating, and which reinforces the department’s plans to launch the latest digital projects, initiatives, and applications that enhance the quality of life and support the digital transformation process across the hospitality and tourism sectors in Ajman.
In this regard, His Excellency Saleh Mohamed Al Geziry, Director General of the Ajman Department of Tourism Development, confirmed that this new achievement is a result of the endless support of His Highness Sheikh Abdulaziz bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Chairman of the Ajman Department of Tourism Development, to improve the quality of digital services and enhance their efficiency in a way that ensures customer satisfaction.
From his side, Mohammed Ali Al Bloushi, Digital Transformation and Artificial Intelligence Advisor at the Ajman Department of Tourism Development, said that:
“Receiving a 5-star rating for the digital services offered to its customers is a great achievement that crowns the department’s efforts and plans to achieve leadership in providing advanced government services to its customers according to international standards”.
The list of digital services that were granted the 5-star rating is:
Request to participate in local events, request to participate in international events and exhibitions, request to cancel participation in local events, request to cancel participation in international events and exhibitions, request to settle fines, request to appeal fines, request to reserve a space in Ajman Museum, and request to cancel reservation of a space in Ajman Museum.
Al Bloushi also praised Ajman’s Digital Department vital role and the support it extends to all government authorities in the emirate to achieve Ajman’s vision of 2021.
Al Bloushi added that the department fully supports innovation and the adoption of digital solutions and productive initiatives that boost the touristic and investment environment in Ajman through the joint efforts of all government authorities in the emirate, especially with the rapid developments the world is witnessing in the fields of technology and digital solutions, where the tourism is profiting from big data which is contributing to improving the customer experience, in addition to developing innovative solutions to serve tourists, touristic facilities, and the whole tourism sector which falls in line with the goals and vision of Ajman.
