Dubai-based Samana Developers announced on Wednesday the completion of the superstructure of its 100 million UAE dirhams ($27 million) Samana Hills residential project in Arjan, Dubailand despite the challenges posed by COVID-19.

The project broke ground in September 2019.

"The efficient project management in fact accelerated the construction speed and the developer is now able to complete the project ahead of schedule and eventually prepone the handover," the company said in a press statement

The five-storey project is spread over an area of 100,000 square feet and houses 205 apartments, the statement said, adding that the development is scheduled for handover in the third quarter of 2021.

"We will maintain the same pace which will eventually lead us to the preponement of the handover, in third quarter of 2021. Samana Hills handover will perfectly coincide with the start of Expo 2020, which has been rescheduled to start on October 1st, 2021," said Imran Farooq, Chief Executive Officer of Samana Developers.
