Dubai, UAE: CEO of the region’s leading cooling and energy solutions Taqeef, Tariq Al Ghussein, has been appointed as president of Eurovent Middle East.

Eurovent Middle East is the region's only industry association representing leading manufacturers of Indoor Climate (HVAC), Process Cooling, Food Cold Chain, Industrial Ventilation, and Building Automation Technologies, as well as sector associations and industry initiatives active in these fields.

Taking over from Brian Suggitt, Managing Director of Systemair Middle East, Al Ghussein will oversee the leadership of the association to fulfill the highest requirements of product quality and sustainability to HVAC manufacturers in the region.

As Eurovent’s previous Vice President, Al Ghussein’s active participation as a board member and vast experience in the Middle East’s air conditioning sector has contributed to his appointment. His ethos aligns with the UAE and GCC’s vision to promote energy conservation while achieving the best business practices in the industry.

“Under Brian’s stewardship, the Association has grown in numbers and stature, and contributed to many of the most pressing industry issues affecting our businesses and our region. Brian’s energy and insights will be sorely missed, however, I’m confident we can build on the great work that’s already been achieved and continue to push integrity and best practice in our industry. These are exciting times for our membership and our region, and Eurovent Middle East’s work on Energy Efficiency, better IAQ, transparency and protocols has never been more relevant,” commented Al Ghussein.

“I would like to thank Brian for his support and encouragement over the past four years. It has been an honour and a great pleasure to work with him as President. With Tariq Al Ghussein, we have an excellent successor, who supported the idea of an industry association from the beginning. Tariq is a well-known and respected business leader and we are all looking forward to continuing exceptional work with him as President,” said Markus Lattner, Managing Director of Eurovent Middle East.
