Muscat: Strengthening its role as a facilitator of socioeconomic development through the promotion of knowledge sharing platforms, Sohar International recently served as main sponsor for the International Conference on Clinical Nutrition organised by the Al Nahda Hospital, the Ministry of Health. Inaugurated under the auspices of His Excellency Dr. Ali bin Talib Al Hinai, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health for Planning Affairs; the two day event, held at Al Shafaq Club, witnessed participation of over 300 medical professionals locally and globally.

Elaborating on the banks participation as enabler of information exchange, Mr Khalil Al Hedaifi, Chief Retail Banking Officer at Sohar International said, “This event is an ideal vehicle for medical professionals to discuss and share latest practises, trends and information crucial to the healthcare sector. The conference saw a variety of important subjects within healthcare with the presentation of papers on topics including the effects of food consumption on Omani population health; Obesity and gut microbia; lipids and human health amongst others. Representatives from Sohar International team were also present at the venue to showcase and create awareness about the Bank’s offerings available to help people in their everyday life.
