Abu Dhabi : Abu Dhabi Health Services Company (SEHA), the UAE’s largest healthcare network, is gearing up to host the 14th edition of its International Pediatric Conference, an annual event that gathers physicians, nurses and technicians from the region, US and UK to discuss the latest advancements in the field of pediatrics and exchange knowledge and expertise.

The two-day conference will begin on Thursday, January 16 and take place at the Rosewood Hotel on Al Maryah Island in Abu Dhabi, with delegates from Children’s Hospital in Philadelphia, the Cincinnati Children’s Hospital, Boston Children’s Hospital and the National Children’s Hospital in Washington, amongst others.

Commenting on the annual event, Dr. Elsadeg Mohamed Sharif, Consultant Pediatrician, Pediatric Rheumatologist and Chair of the Child Health Institute at Al Ain Hospital and Conference Co-Chair, said: “SEHA’s priority is to offer children with services and treatment methods that match, if not exceed, the highest international standards, and is dedicated to utilizing the available technology and expertise worldwide to deliver on that promise. SEHA’s 14th International Conference has grown to become one of the most prominent conferences in this field, providing significant advantages to professionals who serve children in the UAE and the wider region. Over the next three days will dive the conference into the latest developments and modern medical trends in the management and treatment of common diseases children face, as well as discuss several subspecialties, learning from each other and developing best practices.

The conference is CME-accredited by the European Accreditation Council and will cover subspecialties such as hematology, oncology, endocrine, genetics, metabolic processes, gastrointestinal diseases, and diseases of the lung, heart, eyes, kidney and urinary tract, amongst others.
