UAE:  As part of the UAE’s ‘Year of the 50th’ Golden Jubilee celebrations, Rotana, one of the leading hotel management companies in the region with hotels across the Middle East, Africa, Eastern Europe and Turkey, is commemorating the founding of the nation by reflecting on its glorious past, acknowledging the present and symbolising its new vision for the future. On this remarkable occasion, and amongst other activities taking place across all its UAE properties, Rotana invites residents and visitors to participate in its ’50 giveaways’ competition between 22nd November and 5th December 2021, where participants can win 50 one-night stay giveaways.

To commemorate the UAE’S 50th National Day, remembering the historic relevance of the occasion and honouring the legacy of its founders, the ‘50 one-night stay giveaways’ campaign includes an exciting short quiz competition through a dedicated microsite, about the UAE, its culture, and interesting facts about the nation. Special QR codes have been placed across all its UAE properties, encouraging guests to simply scan and be directed to a short quiz. Participants who answer all questions correctly will be entered into a draw to win. Entrants are encouraged to visit Rotana’s social media page for hints and clues and stand a chance to win the 50 one-night stay giveaways.

As the UAE celebrates its 50th year of unification, Rotana will be completing almost three decades of its own UAE journey. Speaking on the occasion of the 50th UAE National Day, Guy Hutchinson, Rotana President and CEO, said: “Being a part of a nation which values humanity, giving and hard work makes us proud to call the UAE our home. It is an honour to be able to celebrate the past five decades of exceptional success in various sectors that has enabled the country to become a leading nation, driven by passion, innovation, and tolerance. We salute the country on its remarkable achievements over the past 50 years and eagerly await the journey that lies ahead.”

Rotana’s success is the outcome of the vision and the wisdom of the leaders of the UAE. On this day the leading hospitality group expresses its pride in the nation, which is a living template of modernity, peace and prosperity, riding high on the world’s stage in almost every field. A perfect occasion to celebrate and reflect the contributions, vision and dreams of the founders of the union. Rotana has succeeded in achieving its goal and strive to preserve that achievement, endeavouring to reach even higher goals in the years to come.

As a homegrown brand, Rotana is committed to further developing and diversifying the hospitality industry in the UAE, in line with the government's broader economic and tourism objectives. As one of the largest hospitality employers in the wider Middle East, Rotana supports thousands of direct and indirect jobs. Its relentless growth and expansion over the years has contributed immensely to promoting economic growth, diversification and job creation in countries across the region.

Hutchinson said: “The Emirates has achieved tremendous success since its unification in 1971. Taking inspiration from the UAE, Rotana has come a long way; we developed, we progressed and today we are proud to be one of the leading brands in the hospitality sector. We will continue our tradition of pioneering in the hospitality industry and striving for unsurpassed excellence.”

Rotana currently operates 68 hotels in 24 cities across 14 countries, including an impressive 10,012 keys spanning 36 hotels in the UAE. The group’s pipeline consists of 44 upcoming projects, including 10 that will deliver more than 3,000 keys to the market in the next three years.
